OAK ISLAND, NORTH CAROLINA
Whether you are on vacation, getting away to your second home, or live here full time, that hometown sense of nostalgia is present along each of the 20 square miles of Oak Island. The Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway run parallel to each other and stretch across the 12 mile-long island.
Find your stretch of sand and enjoy a sunrise or sunset from any of the 10 miles of beachfront. Getting there is never a problem with over 100 free public accesses to the beach and Intracoastal Waterway. Your accessibility to all of Oak Island’s natural beauty is more than any of the other coastal towns in North Carolina. From the public boat launches, two fishing piers, waterway parks, kayak launch, scenic walkways, to the golf, fine and casual dining, established retail and small local shopping, boutique hotels, and more, it's no wonder the year round population of 8,500 residents continues to grow exponentially each year. Even with the nearly 50,000 visitors bustling around during the summer, this charming southern beach town keeps its traditional, quiet charm throughout the entire year.
HOLDEN BEACH, NORTH CAROLINA
The 8-mile long barrier island of Holden Beach is bound by the Intracoastal Waterway, Shallotte Inlet, and Lockwood Folly Inlet. With a population of just under 700 people the small town charm of this sea goers island continues to earn the distinction earned by National Geographic Traveler as one of the “best family beaches in the country” year after year. Grab your bike, board, or boat and hit the beach or waterway for a full day of fun in the sun.
OCEAN ISLE BEACH, NORTH CAROLINA
Ocean Isle Beach is a gorgeous barrier island located along the southern coast of North Carolina. Known for its beautiful beaches, coastal activities, and relaxed pace of life, it's the perfect destination for a peaceful beach vacation.

Located just south of the busier and more developed beaches of Myrtle Beach, Ocean Isle Beach offers 6 miles of wide, clean beaches for swimming, sunbathing, beachcombing and all kinds of family fun. The warm waters and gentle waves make it an ideal spot for swimming, boogie boarding, surfing lessons, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. Fishing charters and boat rentals are also popular ways to enjoy the water.
SUNSET BEACH, NORTH CAROLINA
Sunset Beach is a pristine barrier island located in southeastern North Carolina, just southwest of the busy tourist destination of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Known for its wide, uncrowded beaches, coastal nature, and unique island lifestyle, Sunset Beach is the perfect destination for a tranquil beach getaway.

Sunset Beach is elongated in shape, stretching around 8 miles long but only a half mile across at its widest point. This geography means the ocean is always close at hand no matter where you are on the island. The beaches are remarkably undeveloped, with no large resorts or commercialization. Instead, you'll find mile after mile of sandy shoreline dotted with beach access points, rental homes, and quiet streets for oceanside walks and bike rides.
