Southport Wooden Boat Show: November 4
The 14th Annual Southport Wooden Boat Show will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, in and around the historic Old Yacht Basin in Southport, from 10 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Our tradition continues with boats on display On-Land and In-Water with visitors being able to meet and talk with wooden boat makers and owners, and to vote for their favorite boat entrant for the People’s Choice Award. Additionally, a team of judges will also award six other prizes.
Shallotte Holiday Market: November 18

Registration is now open for the 5th Annual Calabash Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2023. Offering a 10K, 5K, Mashed Potato Miler plus the ability to run all three which is the Ultimate Feast Challenge! New this year we are offering a special challenge medal for those that complete all three distances. Prize categories include top three overall female/male, top three masters female/male, every five year age groups and best costume! Pumpkin pie will be served at the finishline! You can't ask for a better way to start out your Thanksgiving Day!

All items for sale will be handmade, homemade, or homegrown. There will be food trucks, hot chocolate, and treats available as you shop the vendors' holiday "shops". So come, shop, eat, and enjoy the start of a wonderful holiday season.

Join together at Town Center Park at 6:00 p.m. for the Letters to Santa event and Christmas Tree Lighting. This special Holiday event features a visit with Santa, tree lighting, letter writing station, a mailbox to the North Pole, craft station, magical light displays, and hot chocolate and cookies will be available.
Ocean Isle Beach Flotilla: November 25
The Annual Ocean Isle Beach Flotilla will take place on Saturday, November 25, 2023. The boat parade lines up at 5:00 p.m. in front of Inlet View Bar & Grill. Once dusk has fallen and all the lights are on and ready to go, they will begin their way down the Intracoastal Waterway, ending at Sharky's restaurant around 7:00 p.m. for awards and an after party. You will find excellent viewing spots between both restaurants, including the ending point in the commercial canal in front of Sharky’s Restaurant.
